I was 10, a fourth grader when I stopped at the hospital where my Mother was the Charge Nurse one day after school. She was unable to leave for an entire 8 hour shift; I got loud and grouchy having to stay there so long. She pulled a book off of the volunteer’s wagon without looking at the title or author and told me to sit down and read it. Thus began my journey into palmistry. The book was written by a Chinese man in 1895 using Asian/Oriental palmistry. I returned daily for 2 semesters to study that book and one day I simply got it and began reading everyone in sight. My sister was 6 years old; I learned on her palm. Did you have any inspirations? The book inspired me to want to know everything about everybody. I was not a shy child and I was also very curious. Skills needed to become a palmist? I believe everyone is psychic with inborn abilities and has ESP; some are not using it. I always did. Why do some people seem to be adept in palmistry? A person who wants to learn and try out new ways to “see” can read palms. A blocked individual will not be able to do it. Anyone from kindergarten to old age can learn this modality; it just takes practice like learning piano, or tap dancing. First you do a little, then more, and then you are at the top of the game. I am at the top of my game today. When beginning to read a person's palm, what is the first thing the palmist does? My method: I have the person sign in their name and address. This is something everyone writes the most in their lives. I can feel the handwriting and detect the energy field of the person sitting next to me. I am able to go into their mind and know what they need or want to discuss. If a person scarred their dominant hand with a sharp object and the scar covered major lines, how would you read this person's palm? I would not see the scar and read the palm anyway. I use the lines and symbols as tools to “read” but I can do it by voice inflection, body English and eye contact. Once I read a man who had lost 3 fingers. He wanted to know if he could get a discount since some of the parts I read were gone. I read him and ignored the missing 3 fingers. No discount. Can genetic abnormalities be determined from dermatoglyphs? Yes. In 1967 in America all Medical Schools began teaching all Interns and Residents Asian/Oriental palmistry 1 entire day during their classes. It was done so that they would recognize in newborns congenital problems. When you go to your own Dr. they usually shake your hand and notice skin color, size of hand and fingers, nails, wetness or dryness, etc. Hands give a lot of clues to a person’s well being. Have you ever read your own palm before? I read it daily to see what is ahead for me. I met my first husband (a blind date) and read his palm at the party. I told my girlfriend that night that I was going to marry him. She thought I was carzy but my palm lit up like a Christmas tree when he was near me which told me he was Mr. Right. We wre married 20 years before he passed away. His palm showed a Life line of 42 years and he died at 42. He asked me if he was going to be a millionaire by the time he turned 40. He was 22 then. I was immature and blurted out “No, you will only live to age 42.” I forgot I said that until the day he died when it all came back to me. Even then I was accurate in predicting. I would never say a thing like that today. What are some of the positive/negative experiences you've had with clients? Do they often return for palm readings saying many things have come true? I receive emails, letters and numerous phone calls from clients confirming what came out of a reading. In the back of all my books I have several pages of testimonials from people who like my predictions or take my advice. I never tell anyone what to do but show them their options; it is free will and thinking on their part that determines what happens in their life situations. I do not do the work for them, but lead them to find the path they should follow. I tell them they only have to see me one time but many want updates every 6 months or once a year.
